So my family and I went to Islands of Adventure this past weekend and it really got me thinking. See, ever since it's inception I've loved IoA's concept of a theme park with several different themed islands. Every time I go there (I live in Florida, so it happens often) one question comes to mind:
How come Nintendo doesn't make a theme park!?
My sister and I are standing around while in the park just brainstorming the possibilities of an actual Nintendo land. You could have one portion of the park dedicated to Mushroom Kingdom, where you can have tons of scenery from various Mario games (Underground tunnel, Princess Peach's castle, pipes and bricks everywhere) and have an endless amount of rides including Mario Kart and some Yoshi nonsense.
But it doesn't even end there. You see, Nintendo has such a repertoire of franchises under their belt that they could easily make an iconic theme park that people would flock to. I mean, can you imagine fricken Mushroom Kingdom, Hyrule, Pokemon, Metroid, and many other places that you could walk around and interact with in a theme park. It would be amazing! It had to at least cross Nintendo executives' minds, right? I'm guessing maybe the financial aspect of running a theme park could be an issue with them, but so what.
Do this in my lifetime Nintendo and I will love you forever.
